National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Event Date:
Saturday, November 12, 2016 (All day) to Sunday, November 20, 2016 (All day)

Roughly 1.3 million youth are homeless and living on the streets, according to the National Runaway Switchboard. Among these youth, pregnancy rates are up to five times higher than rates among their peers with homes.
As you prepare for Thanksgiving this November, spread the spirit of thankfulness and giving. Help raise awareness in your community about the challenges these youth face. Use the National Coalition for the Homeless manual to organize friends, family, and community organizations, and educate community influencers about the root causes of homelessness.
