Social Wellness Month

Social Wellness Month

Event Date:
Saturday, July 1, 2017 (All day) to Monday, July 31, 2017 (All day)

July is Social Wellness Month. Social wellness involves nurturing yourself and your relationships so that you feel supported. When youth have a healthy relationship in their life, like a trusted mentor or parent, it can help protect against multiple risk behaviors that could contribute to delinquency and unintended pregnancy. Discover ways that you can encourage social wellness!

Get Involved

  • Are you a parent, caregiver, or youth-supporting professional? Encourage wellness among adolescent males with resources from the Healthy Teen Network’s Volt program.
  • If you work with Tribal youth, download Native Wellness’ Healthy Relationships Curriculum slideshow and incorporate culturally relevant healthy relationship education as part of your Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (APP) program.
  • View the Value of One Webinar and learn how having a trusted adult in the lives of youth can be a protective factor against sexual risk behaviors.
  • Check out our Parent-Child Communication Tip Sheet for quick facts and strategies for incorporating parent-child communication topics in your programming.

Help ensure social support and wellness among youth!
