Purpose and Procedure

Grantees have expressed various challenges about implementing programming in schools and have requested guidance on how to expand programming to a variety of non-traditional settings such as churches, sports camps, group homes, and detention centers. This Share and Learn session will provide Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) grantees with an opportunity to learn, discuss, and exchange strategies for establishing strong partnerships with a variety of community organizations to expand programming to new community settings.

During the call, grantees will be able to:

  • Learn strategies for establishing partnerships with youth-serving organizations besides schools.
  • Hear from grantees who are successfully implementing SRAE programming in diverse settings.
  • Understand key considerations for implementing SRAE programming in various community settings.
  • Reflect on opportunities to expand their programming to a variety of settings.

Participants will have the chance to share their experiences, resources, and questions with other grantees. Please come prepared to engage in the discussion and share your ideas and experiences. We encourage grantees who are implementing their SRAE programs in diverse settings to join. The more examples there are to share, the more fruitful and useful the session will be for all attendees. A post-discussion email will be sent to participants with available resources. Space is limited to 35 participants. Please email sraetta@rti.org with any questions you may have.
