Are you interested in learning more about health equity and how it could be integrated into your Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (APP) programming? Check out a new, two-segment, online course focused on health equity and adolescent sexual health. The first segment is available now and explores terms related to health equity, health equity and inequity in adolescent sexual health, and social determinants of health within adolescent sexual health, including examples from APP grantees who are infusing health equity within their programming. You can share this module with your team or use it to onboard staff or partners who want to learn more about health equity.

Segment One will take approximately one hour, and by the end, you will be able to:

• Define health equity, health inequity, and social determinants of health; 
• Identify outcomes related to adolescent sexual health impacted by health inequity; 
• Describe social determinants of health and how they impact adolescent sexual health; 
• Identify opportunities for APP grantees to focus on equity in their APP programming; and 
• Locate relevant resources to support evidence-based strategies for addressing health equity.
