Event Date:
-

Training Objectives

By the end of the webinar series, grant recipients will be able to;

  • Clarify core A–F topics
    • Participants will correctly define and explain each mandatory topic (A–F)—from promoting personal responsibility and healthy decision making (A), to resisting sexual coercion (F).
  • Integrate positive youth development (PYD) strategies
  • Participants will learn how to embed PYD approaches (e.g., skill-building, goal-setting, decision-making) across A–F topics to foster self-regulation and protective behaviors.
  • Develop action plans for A–F integration
  • Participants will create a tailored post-training action plan following completion of an A-F assessment tool outlining curricula changes, and staff training needs.

All staff are eligible to join this training and are expected to attend full sessions on both days. Grant recipients may register subrecipients to fulfill their topical training requirement, however, grantees are encouraged to ensure all subrecipients received the information shared during the topical training.

As stated in the Notice of Award grant recipients are required to send two staff persons to one topical training per year.

Please keep in mind that grant recipients are required to attend at least one training prior to the end of September 2025 but can attend more than one if it is within their approved budget. Grant recipients may select which topical training(s) is most valuable for their staff and project.
