Incorporating We Think Twice Resources into SRAE Programming
Facilitators
- Janine Albert, RTI International
- Kaitlin Dixon, MA, RTI International
This Share and Learn session will provide Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) grantees with the opportunity to brainstorm ways to incorporate resources from We Think Twice™ into their programming. We Think Twice is a digital media campaign created with teens, for teens and sponsored by the Family and Youth Services Bureau. The campaign creates and disseminates positive and informative content to empower youth to form healthy relationships, make smart choices, and set goals for the future. We Think Twice provides resources for many audiences, including facilitator guides and plug-and-play activities for youth-serving providers that can supplement their usual curricula, discussion guides for parents and other caregivers to use with the youth in their lives, and website quizzes and other digital products and tools for teens and young adults.
The session will include:
- An overview of We Think Twice
- Discussion about how grantees are already using resources from We Think Twice
- Sharing of ideas about how We Think Twice resources could complement and benefit current SRAE programming
Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, resources, and questions with other grantees. Please come prepared to engage in the discussion and share your ideas, whether you’re actively using We Think Twice resources or are new to the campaign. A post-discussion email will be sent to participants with available resources and ideas that were generated. Space is limited to 35 participants. Please email sraetta@rti.org with any questions you may have.
