According to the 2021 Child Maltreatment Report, there was a national rate of 8.1 victims of child abuse and neglect per 1,000 children in the U.S. population in 2021. In the same year, approximately 1.8 million children received services to prevent future instances of child maltreatment.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize the importance of working to prevent child abuse and neglect. See below for multiple ways to get involved in protecting children and strengthening families!
