National Foster Care Month
Event Date:
-
May is National Foster Care Month, a time to raise awareness of the needs of over 390,000 children and youth in foster care. Approximately 20,000 young people leave foster care annually without a permanent family—this year’s theme, “Engaging Youth. Building Supports. Strengthening Opportunities,” highlights the importance of engaging and supporting young people transitioning out of foster care.
Let’s work together to ensure that young people are connected to lasting relationships, resources, and opportunities to help them succeed as adults.
