National Health Center Week
Event Date:
-
Every year, National Health Center Week celebrates how community health centers provide critical services to underserved populations to help keep communities and their youth healthy. In fact, health centers serve millions of patients every year, and the demand for affordable primary care continues to grow.
During National Health Center week, celebrate the contributions that health centers make to your community!
Ways to Get Involved:
- Help youth in your program find health care. Direct them to the Health Resources and Services Administration website to find local, affordable clinics.
- Empower youth to take charge of their medical care with teen-focused resources from TeensHealth, including choosing your own doctor and talking to your doctor.
- Print and share this Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) infographic illustrating a teen-friendly reproductive health visit.
- Educate parents on the importance of one-on-one time between youth and healthcare providers by sharing this CDC tip sheet.
