National Runaway Prevention Month

Show your support for National Runaway Prevention Month (NRPM) by helping raise awareness of the unique challenges facing runaway and homeless youth that can include adolescent pregnancy. Spearheaded by the National Runaway Safeline® (@1800RUNAWAY), with support from the Family & Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), this observance brings attention to the runaway and homeless youth crisis and shares prevention efforts and solutions to address this issue.
Get Involved:
- Find tools, resources, and research about runaway and homeless youth from FYSB’s National Clearinghouse on Homeless Youth and Families.
- Identify organizations working with runaway and homeless youth in your community.
- Explore the NRPM Toolkit to get inspiration for planning an event or other ways to spread awareness.
- Tell youth in your programs about the NRPM Youth Ambassador program.
- November 4: Join the live Twitter Chat (@1800RUNAWAY) hosted by National Runaway Safeline® from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM ET.
- November 10: Wear Green Day to show support and raise awareness of runaway and homeless youth.
