Event Date:
-

Overview: This interactive webinar will focus on what program fidelity and adaptation means in an ever-changing educational landscape. Participants will be given some background on fidelity and adaptations and why it is important to remain flexible while still following certain fidelity guidelines. Participants will learn more about core components, core implementation, and core pedagogy and how to preserve those key pieces of a program when implementing an adaptation. Participants will then have an opportunity to practice creating adaptations in small groups. Finally, tools for creating, documenting, and evaluating adaptations will be shared.

Facilitator: Kelly Gainor, ETR

Objectives:  By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Define fidelity and adaptation in the context of sexual health education programming.
  2. Identify core components, core pedagogy, and core implementation for at least one evidence-based program.
  3. Determine at least three reasons why adaptation may be necessary for successful implementation.
  4. Practice thinking through potential adaptations using the “Adaptation Equation.”
