(PREP) Teaching Students with I/DD about Sexuality and Healthy Relationships
Event Date:
-
This interactive webinar will offer an opportunity for Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) grantees to learn more about teaching program participants with intellectual or development disabilities (I/DDs). People with I/DDs are sexual beings just like anyone else but often don’t have access to age-appropriate, medically accurate sexuality education. They are also at risk for unplanned pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, being abused, and experiencing loneliness at a much higher rate than the general population. In this webinar, we will explore specific issues that students with I/DDs face and learn practical tools and skills for teaching this population about healthy sexuality.
