SRAE Webinar: Integrating Youth and Adult Partnerships to Deliver Trauma-Informed Programming in the Context of Community Violence and Societal Tragedies
This webinar will provide information and participatory activities on promoting youth well-being and resilience in the context of community violence and societal tragedies through integrating trauma-informed approaches and youth–adult partnerships. Presenters will provide an overview of key principles for implementing trauma-informed approaches and youth–adult partnerships in Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) programming with an emphasis on addressing the effects of community violence and other trauma on youth. The webinar will then highlight the work grantees are doing to integrate these approaches and mitigate the effects of community violence and tragedies on the youth they serve, including lessons learned. Finally, presenters will introduce a tool for organizations to self-assess the integration of trauma-informed approaches and youth–adult partnerships in their programming, and attendees will have an opportunity to work with the tool, discuss it, and ask questions.
