Supporting youth mental health and well-being is an important priority in many communities. This webinar will explore recent resources from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) focused on promoting the mental health and well-being of students. We will invite Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) grantees to consider how they might support their school partners in implementing the evidence-based strategies and approaches identified in the CDC’s Action Guide. Grantees will have an opportunity to explore the relationship between the strategies and approaches presented in the Action Guide and the SRAE requirements and discuss how they might use the strategies and approaches in their own work to support adolescents.
By the end of this webinar, grantees will be able to:
- Identify specific, classroom-based activities that support youth mental health and well-being for SRAE programming.
- Describe how community-based partners might be able to support schools in supporting the mental health and well-being of students and staff.
- Apply evidence-based strategies to support youth mental health and well-being in their schools and communities.
