Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
Event Date:
-
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. In 2021, suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between ages 10–14 and the third leading cause of death among individuals between ages 15–24.
The good news: recent data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S. CDC) indicates that we have made positive progress toward improving mental health among some teens. Let’s work together and continue building on these successes to ensure all young people have the resources and support they need to thrive!
