Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, Education (HOPE) Month
Event Date:
-
In 2023, families experiencing housing instability rose by 16% while 17.1% of unhoused people were under 18. Research indicates that youth who experience housing instability are more likely to participate in high-risk behaviors and experience violence than their peers.
Formerly known as National Runaway Prevention Month, Youth HOPE Month aims to raise awareness about unhoused youth, highlight services for vulnerable youth and families, and educate the public on how they can play a role. Let’s work together to support unhoused youth and their families.
