Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Event Date:
-
According to the White House’s 2022 Proclamation on National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, nearly 44% of women and 25% of men in America experience some form of sexual violence in their lifetime. This often results in lasting trauma and negative impacts on the health of individuals and communities.
This April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a time to reflect on the strength of survivors and victims, the dedication of professionals providing support to these individuals, and to their work to ensure that every person can live a life free from sexual violence.
