During this webinar we will: (1) Identify common mediating and behavioral outcome domains and sample measures relevant to PREP; (2) Discuss considerations for identifying, selecting, and developing outcome measures; (3) Review expectations for assessing outcomes for each PREP funding stream.  We will also have time for questions and discussion.

During this time, we will be available to discuss a new PREP Local Evaluation Planning Checklist that will be available to assist State and Competitive PREP grantees with evaluation planning across all stages of evaluation. The Local Evaluation Planning Checklist can help to provide a foundation for strong evaluations no matter what type of evaluation design you are using. We will also allow time for questions on the Checklist or other evaluation topics on your mind.

This webinar, in observance of National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, will explore strategies for effectively working with male youth in adolescent pregnancy prevention programs. Héctor Sánchez-Flores, executive director of the National Compadres Network (NCN), will discuss strategies and innovative ways to recruit and engage young men in programs to support healthy futures of male youth.

The topic for this upcoming Community of Learning (CoL) session is Data Collection for Specific Populations, including middle-school youth, hard-to-reach populations, and LGBTQ youth.  We hope this will be a useful session for you all as you develop surveys and plan for data collection with considerations for specific populations. Several states have passed laws that may affect how PREP programs implement their sexual health education curricula. For example, the Florida House Bill (HB) 1557, Parental Rights in Education, was signed and limits educators’ implementation of curriculum modules on gender and sexuality. The APP team and your TA Providers have heard your concerns about this issue.

This interactive webinar will discuss how grantees can support youth and families in their programs who are experiencing grief and trauma through loss. Participants will learn how to identify if the youth in their programs are experiencing grief and trauma through loss, specifically in communities of youth exposed to increasing levels of violence, poverty, and death. Grantee staff will also learn strategies to cope with grief and loss themselves and support the youth in their programs through the bereavement process.

During this webinar, we will: (1) Give a general overview of the PREIS Evaluation Plan Template, as well as the PREP Standards of Rigor for Impact Evaluations. (2) Walk through each section of the template and provide guidance on what you should include, as well as how each section relates to the Standards of Rigor.
