The Best Practices for Sharing Data – Data Visualization Tips and Techniques Webinar is an opportunity for PREP grantees and their evaluators to learn about different methods to present data in a visual format. In this webinar you will be introduced to best practices for data visualization that can be applied across different software (e.g., Excel/Powerpoint, Tableau, Canva, etc.). Additionally, you will learn how to apply data visualization tips and techniques to quantitative and qualitative data.

The purpose of this Share & Learn call is to provide Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) grantees an opportunity to learn from one another about strategies to recruit and engage male students in PREP programming. Moderators Andrea Vazzano and Matthew Rivas-Koehl will begin the discussion by highlighting programmatic, sociocultural, and workforce considerations relevant to working with and engaging young males in PREP programs.
Webinar for PREP Grantees on Positive Childhood Experiences

Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) are specific experiences during childhood—including adolescence—that can help build a young person’s sense of belonging and connection. PCEs have been found to be connected to greater health and well-being in adulthood and can buffer the impact of Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs). This webinar will focus on current research related to PCEs, including what they are, their impact on well-being in adulthood, and how to promote them through programming.
Recruiting and retaining youth is critical to the success of adolescent pregnancy prevention programs. Developing and executing a recruitment and retention strategy takes forethought, diligence, and in depth understanding of program data. This two-day training workshop will equip grantees with knowledge, skills, and resources to better understand how to use program data to inform recruitment and retention. Grantees will also learn how to expand partnerships beyond schools and other common community-based entities.

Save the date for our next PLESD Community of Learning (CoL) for all PREP funding streams on Tuesday, March 19th from 3:00 – 4:30 pm ET. The topic for the upcoming CoL is Navigating State, Tribal, and Local Policies When Conducting Evaluation. The CoL sessions provide an opportunity for grantees and evaluators to share their ideas and learn from each other. In this session, we hope grantees will share their experiences navigating state, tribal, and/or local policies and help each other find solutions.
